In the North American Care Chemicals Division, we develop, produce, and market a comprehensive range of products for personal care, home care, and multiple industrial applications. As a Product Manager for Nonionic Surfactants, you will be part of the Alkoxylation & Chelate Product Management team and have product line responsibility for alcohol alkoxylates for the North American market. These products are produced both in North American assets and imported from BASF’s global production network. The position also has site specific asset management responsibility for the White Stone, SC site.
Formula for Success: You Will…
As a leader you will be responsible for driving sustainable, profitable growth in the nonionic surfactant portfolio through effective margin management and volume growth of the assigned product groups including pricing, pricing process, cost management, customer bids, business forecasting, etc.
Leveraging your educational background in Chemical Engineering/Chemistry and professional experience in marketing, operations, product management, asset and/or business management, you will be responsible for strategy planning and project execution working with complex, interdisciplinary, cross-functional and global teams
Driving strategic decisions for the business, you will develop/communicate the asset strategy and set joint targets with operations and supply chain as well as provide input into overall alkoxylation asset strategy for North America (technology, scale, cost position, etc.)
Building upon your business savviness, you will monitor market trends and drivers with understanding of key raw material movements (alcohols, ethylene oxide, etc) and developments and also capture market, competitive and pricing intelligence through leverage of external and internal sources
You will be responsible for driving the margin oriented view on asset effectiveness (e.g., with key interfaces production, supply chain planning) and profitable organic growth by positioning asset to meet forecasted volumes and new pipelines which will drive profitable organic growth by positioning asset to meet forecasted volumes and new pipelines
As a collaborator, you will work closely with other product managers (NA and global) and all Care Chemical commercial, operations and production teams, other Business Units for transfer products, and BASF platform groups and participate in monthly meetings and complete deliverables.
