The BASF division of Care Chemicals offers a broad range of ingredients for personal care, home care, industrial & institutional cleaning, and technical applications. We are the leading supplier for the cosmetics industry as well as the detergents and cleaning agents industry and support our customers worldwide with innovative and sustainable products, solutions, and concepts. As the Regional Sales Manager, Personal Care Solutions (PCS), you will manage and coordinate a strong commercial position for Personal Care Solutions in North America by thoroughly understanding the business, gleaning market feedback on customer needs and new application opportunities, and facilitating the sales of a strategic, profitable product mix by cooperation with Marketing, Technical, and Product Management.

  • Lead a team of sales professionals, guiding the team by providing experienced-based strategic development and coaching to maximize sales channel effectiveness

  • Leverage your professional experience in a territory and/or regional sales or business management role, formulating and implementing regional short- and long-term plans for new business opportunities/ targeting accounts to achieve sales and profitability targets

  • Demonstrate your sales/account management capabilities as you identify, promote, and capture new opportunities at developmental accounts, and drive opportunities to closure through strong pipeline management

  • Apply your professional selling, negotiation and analytical skills as you cultivate high-level relationships with important customers, as well as networking with potential future customers

  • Apply your strong business acumen, directing the strategic development of the regional account strategies, ensuring account plans are fully executed with all internal and external stakeholders

  • Successfully engage across the business, steering account managers, managing resources, and dividing tasks and responsibilities within the team optimizing customer-facing time

  • Leverage your proven business analysis experience while directing the development and maintenance of long-range operational forecasts regarding volumes, profitability, and human resource needs
