Where the Chemistry Happens
As the key supply chain focal point within the Butanediol and Derivatives Business (CIB – Chemical Intermediates) organization, you will be responsible for planning domestic production and import products, along with global coordination. We are seeking someone like you, a self-starter who can effectively manage several high-profile products concurrently. You will work with several internal functions, including Global and Regional Supply Chain, Marketing, Sales, Controlling, Manufacturing, Customer Care, and Procurement.
Formula for Success
Leveraging your educational background in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field, combined with your professional experience (preferably in planning and operations), you will lead regional- and global-level supply chain optimization and S&OP efforts within the Diols portfolio of products, and serve as a key interface to both the Regional and Global Product Management and Supply Chain groups.
Successfully engaging across the organization, you will collaborate across all regions (NAFTA, Europe, South America, Asia) and cross-functionally (e.g., Marketing, Supply Chain) to develop plans to optimize BASF performance globally.
Demonstrating your planning experience and strong customer focus, you will manage production planning in a highly integrated and dynamic environment, which will include master scheduling, finite planning, distribution requirements planning, capacity balancing, and inventory management as part of a global supply network in order to meet customer and business requirements.
Your superior analytical skills, combined with your thorough knowledge of current SCM concepts, will be a valued asset as you define and participate in projects targeted to specific opportunities in SCM.
Driving strategic decisions for the business, you will develop and execute production and purchase plans in support of customer service goals, inventory targets, and manufacturing efficiencies.
As a role model, you will drive efforts to enhance customer relationships by collaborating and optimizing with key customers.
Using your knowledge and experience in SAP, you will manage planning master data in OMP and SAP (R3 and APO) including article extensions, BOM’s, recipes/ routings, productions versions, etc.
Utilizing your business savvy, you will have end-to-end ownership of order management, monitor sales forecasts vs. actual sales and inventory levels for deviation from plan, and develop initiatives and corrective actions.
As an entrepreneur, you will help suggest and drive improvements in the CIB business which require Global or CIN Regional Supply Resources to execute
