Supply Chain Planner III– Florham Park, NJ (1803321)

Where the Chemistry Happens

As a key resource within the Chemical Intermediates Supply Chain organization, you will be responsible for planning and managing the value chain of imported products. We are seeking someone like you, a self-starter, who can effectively manage several high-profile products concurrently. You will work with several internal business units including Global and Regional Supply Chain, Marketing, Sales, Controlling, Manufacturing, Customer Care, Regulatory and Procurement to appropriately leverage these resources to meet the SBUs objectives. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Formula for Success

  • Successfully engaging across the organization, you will collaborate across regions (NAFTA, Europe, Asia) and cross-functionally (e.g., Marketing, Product Management, Sales, Customer Care) to develop plans to optimize and manage supply and inventory balance of approximately 80 imported products.

  • Leveraging your educational background in Logistics, Business or a related field, combined with your professional experience (preferably in import planning and operations), you will lead regional supply chain optimization and S&OP efforts for your portfolio of products, and serve as a key interface to the Product Management and Supply Chain groups.

  • Your superior analytical skills, combined with your thorough knowledge of current SCM concepts and ERP systems, will be a valued asset as you define and participate in projects targeted to specific opportunities in SCM.

  • Driving strategic decisions for the business, you will develop and execute purchase plans in support of customer service goals and inventory targets

  • As a role model, you will drive efforts to further customer relationships by collaborating and optimizing with key customers.

  • Your knowledge of production and global planning is essential and you will be responsible for maximizing available-to-promise (ATP) capabilities while minimizing back order backlog for imported chemical intermediates and domestically SWAPed products.

  • Utilizing your business savviness, you will have end-to-end ownership of order management, monitor sales forecasts vs. actual sales, track inventory levels for deviation from plan initiatives and develop corrective actions.

  • Your excellent communication, reporting, and presentation skills, as well as interpersonal, negotiation, influencing and networking skills, will allow you to bring to resolution any demand/supply imbalances working with Product Management and Global Supply Partners

  • Your critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills are essential in managing inventory levels throughout the Supply Chain, consistent with SBU targets, including managing slow moving or dysfunctional inventory and pursuing disposition of these dysfunctional inventories.

  • Your strong skills relative to project coordination, time management, multi-tasking, and delivering on commitments is critical to this role.
