Continuous Improvement Leader (1804840) – Freeport, TX
Where the Chemistry Happens
As a member of the Industrial Petrochemicals team, you will serve as an integral part of the continuous improvement program across the Petrochemicals business in North America. As a Black Belt, you will prioritize and drive Lean Six Sigma opportunities across two North American sites. You will also provide Lean Six Sigma coaching and support for the Industrial Petrochemical Managers, Green Belts, and Yellow Belts. In this role, you will help to foster an environment of continuous improvement and drive execution of project opportunities.
Formula for Success
Leveraging your education in Chemical Engineering combined with your professional experience in driving reliability and continuous improvement (preferably with the chemical/petrochemical industry), you will serve as the focal point and champion for driving continuous improvement efforts across the Petrochemicals Business group assets at Freeport Texas (OXO Alcohols, Acrylic Monomers).
As a mentor and coach for the organization, you will champion the successful and sustainable realization of the benefits from continuous improvement projects.
As a trusted advisor, you will coach and mentor managers and employees in the use of Lean Six Sigma tools through the completion of Yellow Belt and Green Belt projects.
Successfully engaging across the organization, you will work with process owners in the following manner: perform data analysis, find root causes for identified problems, document via flowcharting existing processes, and other continuous improvement techniques as needed.
Your strong organization and communication skills will be essential as you identify and prioritize top continuous improvement opportunities. You will then present recommendations to the North American Industrial Petrochemicals leadership team.
As part of the Freeport Petrochemicals Leadership team, you will identify and prioritize continuous improvement opportunities by performing data analysis and by idea generation from Technicians through Leaders.
Demonstrating your commitment to follow-through and results orientation, you will assess major improvement efforts to ensure scope and benefits are evaluated and aligned with strategy.
