This position is responsible for managing and providing leadership for laboratory-related functions within the Polyamide Technology located at the Freeport, TX site in North America.
As a Laboratory & Quality Manager - Polyamide, You Create Chemistry By...
Managing and providing leadership for laboratory-related functions within the Polyamide Technology such as Production, Packaging & Warehousing, Supply Chain & Logistics, 3rd party Terminals, Technology Team, Business Management, Market Development & Sales
Collaborating with corporate and global resources such as EHS, Product Stewardship, and Procurement to perform supplier and raw material evaluations, compliance, product recall management, product certifications, and ensure alignment of reported quality data to customers.
Participate in CM Business Leadership Team to support customer feedback/complaints, new product development and introduction, raw materials qualification, product blending, etc.
Participating closely with the business and production teams to support innovation and new product development, including plant trials and commercialization.
Ensuring quality testing for raw materials, in-process, and finished goods and investigating non-conformances. Also providing quality management system expertise as well as troubleshooting and investigation support.
Determining material disposition and creating and communicating product blending strategies through collaboration with supply chain and logistics teams.
Implementing and improving processes and system for sustained compliance such as ISO 9001 (Quality Management), Responsible Care Management (RC), Nagoya Protocol, UL & CSA Wire & Cable standards, Kosher, Food Contact & GMP, and REDCert2 Sustainability certifications for Ccycle products. Also, you will be maintaining established product certifications and introducing new certifications as desired by the business. Additionally you will be strong proponent of change management and documentation.
Ensuring the application of all safety rules and required EHS/regulatory training and promoting safety programs and behaviors
Building and maintaining a high-performing team and using performance management processes. You will be responsible for ensuring that team capabilities are maintained through adequate recruitment, training, and development
If you have...
BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or other science related degree
10+ years of production support or quality assurance laboratory in the Chemical, Petrochemical, Refining environment
Preferred 5+ years of supervisory experience and 2+ years of ISO or similar audit experience
Ability to build and maintain high performing teams based on trust, collaboration, and diversity. Develops people and enables individuals to stretch their capabilities. Inspires people to follow.
