Maintenance Multi-Craft Supervisor - Freeport, TX

The purpose of this position is to achieve strategic business needs through process safety, capital project support, process and product optimization and automation. This position is responsible for driving continuous process innovation by creating strong relationships with Maintenance Team and improve the reliability in the process thru a strategic cost management.

Formula for Success: You Will…

Ensure the application of all safety rules and required EHS/regulatory training, assuring personnel are aware of and employing safe working practices and promoting safety programs and behaviors

Provide Level 1 Troubleshooting, repair expert for critical maintenance (in his craft) with a good working knowledge of all crafts.

Provide guidance to crafts on critical maintenance items, repairs, and tasks, and perform quality checks on the executed work.

Ensure compliance to weekly schedule and facilitate work execution productivity as measured by Time-on-Tools.

Ensure notifications and work orders are completed (with failure causes codes identified and entered) and closed in a timely manner - TECO. Ensure equipment files are maintained and updated as needed and ensure first-time repair quality in an accurate, efficient, and effective manner (contractor and BASF).

Ensure development, maintenance and availability of equipment files, procedures/processes, and up to date drawings, including P&IDs, loop drawings, xray records/files, etc.

Ensure maintenance repair cost are on budget and develop continuous improvement actions.

Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You…

Education:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree on Maintenance related areas; and demonstrable experience working in Maintenance in the Chemical Industry and related projects. In addition to demonstrating strong experience in maintenance work.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of Chemical, Petrochemical, or Refinery Experience

  • Preferred batch plant experience

Knowledge/Skills

  • Advance knowledge and user experience of maintenance programs and concepts (e.g. Risk Based Management, Bad Actor Analysis, etc.) and legal inspection requirements.

  • Flexibility is essential, to support critical breakdowns on site and attend out of hours to support the maintenance team when required.

  • A high level of self-motivation and good (project) leadership, communication and network skills alongside with a structured, solution-oriented and self-reliant way of working. “Completer-finishing” mindset.

  • The ability to troubleshoot and diagnose instrumentation calibration/repair, rotating equipment maintenance/repair, electrical equipment knowledge, etc

  • Practical experience in plant troubleshooting

  • Must be able to work within a diverse organization.

  • Commitment to a safe and efficient workplace

  • Strong collaborative skills, keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
