Supply Chain Analyst (1804769) – Freeport, TX

We are seeking a professional like you to support our Supply Chain operations at our Freeport, TX facility.
Formula for Success
Engaging across functions within BASF, you will successfully influence others to resolve day-to-day carrier related issues for the business.
Leveraging your educational background in Supply Chain, Business or a related field, and your professional experience, you will be the primary liaison between the business and corporate transportation platforms (Transplace (bulk, rail and package command centers), transportation procurement and customer care organizations.
Your excellent communication, reporting, and presentation skills are essential as you provide day-to-day support to EM Supply Chain operations, including EHS, Management of Change (MOC), and continuous improvement. Additionally, you will perform data analysis and reporting for transportation performance management including costs, non-conformances (NCMs), demurrage, transport reliability and carrier performance, as well as continuous support for EM shipment activities from the Freeport site.
Your leadership skills will be essential as you will be responsible for tracking and reporting all non-conformances (NCMs) and ensure investigations are handled in a timely and effective manner.
Your strong business acumen will be a benefit in this role as you maintain monthly accounting closing files and share them with unit leadership and Accounting.
Your analytical skills, combined with your thorough knowledge of transportation management will allow you to resolve freight payment issues within our 3 rd party freight payment provider’s website.
Utilizing your collaboration skills, you will support the business with freight rate analysis including rail, ocean going vessels, LTL and TL shipments.
Your critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills will be essential in managing transportation related projects, continuous improvement projects, including but not limited to new operations projects related to logistics and supply chain, onboarding new 3PLs and determining best modes of shipment and transportation lanes to customers.
