Turnaround Leader (1902935) – Freeport, TX
Where the Chemistry Happens
We are seeking a professional like you to plan, lead, and drive the successful execution of all assigned phases of the turnaround (TAR) management process for the assigned Intermediates and Petrochemical plant(s). You will be charged with providing expert leadership and management to the execution teams to ensure the safe, efficient, and effective performance of Turnaround and Outage maintenance by BASF employees and contractors.
Formula for Success
Your strong leadership skills will be essential as you will lead a team of up to 25 direct reports and 1,000 indirect employees/contractors to successfully complete large, complex TAR projects.
Driving strategic decisions for the business, you will assist in the development of multiple 5-year plans, budgets ($10M to $70M), schedules, and organizations in line with business unit objectives.
Leveraging your professional experience in managing large TARs, you will ensure the execution of continuous process improvement methodologies such as LEAN and OpEx.
Serving as a trusted role model, you will direct the talent development and succession planning process for staff and provide coaching and mentoring to assist employees to become successful.
Your commitment to safety will be critical as you promote employee awareness of safe working practices and behaviors.
Your knowledge of SAP and accounting practices will be a valued asset as you manage activities associated with maintenance and projects work.
