Where the Chemistry Happens
We are seeking a professional like you to lead maintenance, repair and turnaround activities for large complex rotating equipment and critical process machinery including planning, overhauls, inspections, repairs and preventative maintenance strategies. This position interfaces with Production, Maintenance and Engineering across the entire Geismar Site. The scope includes reciprocating and turbo machinery, compressors, steam and gas turbines, pumps, and industrial process machinery.

Formula for Success
Leveraging your “hands-on” repair experience on steam and gas turbines, centrifugal compressors, reciprocating compressors, motors, gearboxes and their ancillary equipment including lubrication, control oil and sealing systems within a petrochemical complex.
As a lead machinist, supervisor or specialist for major rotating equipment and critical process machinery, you will provide solid knowledge of process machinery operation, machinery controls and monitoring systems as well as proficient knowledge of machinery and component repairs including bearings, rotors, impellers, stators, couplings, governor valves, trip valves, IGV’s, geared units, etc.
With yourproficient knowledge and machinist/millwright craft skill sets, use of tools and equipment you will provide advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics support for machinery and coordinate additional technical support with Maintenance and Reliability engineers, vibration technicians and operations.
Your excellent collaboration skills and ability to influence and motivate stakeholders and work crews, you will to supervise, guide, develop and train craftsmen and provide timely communication to key stake holders on equipment overhauls and critical equipment repairs.
With your knowledge, you will provide Quality Assurance and Quality Control of critical rotating equipment overhauls, inspections, repairs and installation, including job plans, spare parts, disassembly, assembly, machine train alignment and ancillary systems.
Your advanced trouble shooting skills and knowledge of machinery vibration and condition monitoring equipment are fundamental for success.
This position requires all candidates to either currently possess or obtain and maintain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) Card from the U. S. Department of Homeland Security.
