Mechanical Maintenance Engineer-Geismar (1802804)
Where the Chemistry Happens
We are seeking a professional like you to provide mechanical maintenance engineering expertise to an assigned area of the site. You will also be responsible for collaboration with Production and Maintenance personnel and providing services related to design review, repair and maintenance, including predictive/preventative maintenance activities. Additionally, you will provide technical support to Root Cause Failure Analyses, troubleshooting of problems, and monitoring PM and PdM programs. You will also ensure a culture of continuous improvement employing LEAN Manufacturing tools.
Formula for Success
Leveraging your educational background in an Engineering Degree, preferrably Mechanical or Chemical along with your experience in a chemical/petrochemical or manufacturing environment in the area of maintenance and/or reliability you will provide mechanical maintenance engineering expertise.
Your General knowledge of mechanical equipment design and understanding of maintenance and reliability activities associated with process equipment such as centrifugal pumps, piping systems, pressure vessels (including heat exchangers), atmospheric storage tanks, positive displacement pumps, relief devices and compressors of various design is crucial to this role.
Your ability to communicate effectively with facts and figures along with the ability to influence, persuade and negotiate is essential.
Your basic understanding of maintenance and reliability work processes, device preventative maintenance activities, vibration analysis and equipment lubrication programs will allow you to provide technical support when needed and troubleshooting of problems.
Your knowledge of SAP is highly desirable.
