Process Engineer (1802605)

Where the Chemistry Happens

We are seeking a professional like you to provide process engineering expertise to support the development and design of chemical plant expansion, optimization, and debottlenecking projects. You will collaborate with and provide support to project and design engineers throughout the scope development, design and execution phases of capital projects. You will also provide process engineering support to business groups and operating units for critical process upset troubleshooting and process optimization as well as support environmental and other regulatory compliance. You will participate in PSM/RMP and EHS audits and develop/maintain process simulations for operating units.

Your day to day activities are as follows:

  • Development and review Process Flow Diagrams, Piping & Instrument Diagrams, instrument specification sheets, and equipment sizing calculations; development of process simulations for operating units; participation in regulatory compliance audits; design and sizing of process safety components; and participation in process optimization activities

  • Assist and prepare appropriate project documentation

  • Participate in center of expertise and peer groups to ensure application of best practices

  • Leveraging your educational background in an Engineering discipline preferably Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, as well as your professional experience in a chemical/petrochemical or manufacturing environment, you will provide process engineering expertise to support the development and design of chemical plant expansion.

  • Your strong communications skills will be a valued asset as you provide demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills as well as leadership and coaching skills.

  • Your working knowledge of SAP will be an asset to the organization

  • Your demonstrated knowledge of project management processes and project execution best practices will allow you to provide support to project and design engineers throughout the scope development, design and execution phases of capital projects.
