Project/Process Engineer-Geismar (1802022)

Where the Chemistry Happens

We are seeking a professional like you to support project activities to ensure execution is in alignment with state project requirements. You will be responsible for maintaining the project cost, schedule and functionality for projects. you will be responsible for leading and organizing applicable value based engineering (best practices) to optimize project scope, execution and costs on site engineering projects. You will provide quality assurance and control during the design phase of the project as well as consult with operations, vendors and construction contractors throughout design, construction and start-up for projects. You will coordinate interdisciplinary activities/information with discipline counterparts (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Piping) for projects. You will also monitor the activities of the Engineering Partner on projects and lead the Safety Reviews and assure that the process safety aspects are acceptable for projects.

Formula for Success

  • Leveraging your educational background in an Engineering discipline preferably Chemical Engineering, as well as your professional experience in a chemical/petrochemical or manufacturing environment, you will lead the project team in developing project scopes, generating cost estimates, and preparing funding requests on site engineering projects

  • Your strong communications skills will be a valued asset as you provide demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills as well as leadership and coaching skills.

  • Your working knowledge of Global Capital practices and Global contractor work processes will allow you the ability to work on multiple projects and tasks at one time.
