Reliability Engineer -Technical Expertise (1802613) – Geismar, LA
We are seeking a professional like you for a great opportunity as a Reliability Engineer to join our Technical Expertise team to provide support for BASF Corporation sites in North America and contribute to global improvements as part of the global BASF Maintenance and Reliability Support community. You will join a team that provides on-site and remote support to continuously improve performance and address specific reliability issues in the region and provides reliability input and support for investment projects. We are relying on you to lead regionally and at times globally the development of strategies, programs and processes to improve and ensure plant equipment reliability. You will interface closely with global colleagues as the North American lead for the development and implementation of advanced predictive maintenance modeling and develop, maintain, and deliver reliability process training materials.
Formula for Success
Leveraging your educational degree in Engineering and your reliability expertise and equipment knowledge to drive improvements at BASF sites in the region,you will lead assessments, implement consultations, train/coach, rollout of program improvements and follow up support for optimization and sustainability.
You will lead and drive the optimization of reliability strategies, tools and work processes to deliver improved business performance by reducing production losses and optimizing costs including the identification and prioritization of high level opportunities across the BASF Corporation landscape of sites as well as the implementation of agreed solutions and improvements.Typical reliability services and methodologies could include Preventive/Predictive strategies, Risk Based Inspection, Root Cause Failure Analysis, Reliability Centered Maintenance, Bad Actor Program, Lubrication Excellence, etc.
You will continuously drive innovation as the North American lead for the development and implementation of advanced predictive maintenance modeling for equipment.
You will work with related functions of BASF Engineering and Maintenance globally to align on work processes, procedures, methodologies, best practices.
Engage across the region, you will collaborate with production, maintenance, engineering, and research personnel at multiple sites and business units.
Your ability to make crucial business decisions and recommendations will be valued as you identify areas for improvement to increase equipment reliability in the region.
