Technology Improvement Engineer ( 2202419 ) – Geismar, LA

Where the Chemistry Happens

We are seeking a professional like you to utilize in-depth technical knowledge for areas of responsibility and to work co-located with the Production team. You will implement capital projects, process optimizations, automation strategies, and process safety improvements. You will assist the Daily Production Team in complex technical troubleshooting and support technology initiatives. You will participate in a high-performance team environment including daily production, technology, maintenance, health and safety, ecology, quality assurance, and engineering. You will contribute to our customers success by supporting the production of toluene diamine (TDA), hydrogen chloride (HCL), and toluene diisocyanate (TDI).

  • Leveraging your educational background in Chemical Engineering discipline, you will drive innovation by developing creative solutions and serving as a Manufacturing Representative to implement capital projects.

  • Leveraging your professional experience in a chemical or petrochemical manufacturing environment, you will provide technical support and troubleshooting skills to the Daily Operations Team.

  • Utilizing your familiarity with chemical processing equipment, you will monitor operations on a weekly basis and analyze trends to optimize the production and become the low-cost producer of TDA, HCL, and TDI.

  • Your dedication to continuous improvement will be evident as you develop and implement process improvement plans that will enhance safety, quality, plant reliability, cost, and efficiency.

  • By taking entrepreneurial action to achieve targets, you will manage multiple high-complexity improvements and complete Management of Change for capital projects and process optimization.

  • Your strong interpersonal skills will allow you to collaborate with cross-functional and high-performance teams and to create an inclusive environment by valuing people above all else.

  • Your effective communication skills will enable you to lead change and to demonstrate customer focus by achieving continuous improvement.
