Site Electrical Engineer (2002284) – Greenville, OH
Where the Chemistry Happens
We are seeking a professional like you to support the day-to-day operation of the Greenville site for electrical and instrumentation issues. You will provide the technical support needed to execute projects that support the required capital and expense plan. You will own policy and procedure and solid PSM expertise, manage projects in excess of $1.5-$2m, and be the sole lead of electrical infrastructure (with some guidance from your Manager). We will rely on you to provide strong leadership in the area of safe plant operation and adherence to BASF Process Safety rules and policies. Additionally, you will provide technical and safety leadership to the operations team.
Formula for Success
Your ability to successfully multi-task will be essential as you generate and complete multiple Change Managements, support and/or manage multiple capital and expense projects simultaneously from conceptual planning through commissioning and maintain focus on safety in the development of project concept and during execution.
Leveraging your education in Electrical Engineering and your experience in a chemical manufacturing facility, you will manage small/simple process piping projects with guidance from site Chemical Engineers.
Demonstrating your root cause analysis leadership ability, you will provide technical leadership in root cause analysis for site utilities and electrical incidents.
Utilizing your electrical and Instrumentation knowledge, you will be competent with Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and understand the basis for Greenville reactor safety requirements.
Having a solid command of Ecology Health & Safety procedures/standards, you will participate in site compliance reviews with new or existing BASF Safety Concepts.
Successfully engaging across the organization, you will act as the primary resource in site PSM and Responsible Care audits concerning site electrical topics.
Your keen attention to detail will be a valued asset as you review and maintain site Maintenance Engineering Practice (MEP) documents and related procedures.
Your strong organizational and computer skills will aid you as you manage site electrical one-line diagrams, electrical SKM model, and the Electrical Area Classification drawings, as well as coordinate the Heat Trace Database and other electrical drawings. Additionally, you will serve as the site coordinator for loop diagrams for the InTools database.
Your effective communication skills will serve you well as you provide electrical best practice guidance to site engineering and maintenance based on national and corporate standards. This includes interfacing with the Electrical Center of Excellence as required for best practice questions.
Applying your project management experience (including process I/E design, cost estimating, safety reviews, construction management & start-up / commission), you will coordinate Arc Flash studies for site projects and revalidation.
