What you can expect

Please note that the position will either be filled in Ludwigshafen (BASF SE) or in Hannover (BASF Catalysts Germany GmbH).

Within our global business unit Mobile Emissions Catalysts we are primarily and directly servicing the global automotive OEM marketplace.

  • In your position as Head of Global Site Controlling you will serve as the single global reporting line for all site controlling and you will steer standardization as well as consistency across the sites.

  • You will be responsible for creating and implementing global KPIs across all sites to drive improved operational performance.

  • As a member of the global leadership team you will proactively steer and support the strategic direction of the Controlling and Operations organizations.

  • Furthermore, you will have functional responsibility of a global team and will lead and develop talent within the global Site Controlling team as well as ensure continuity of knowledge through succession planning.

  • You will drive global harmonization of cost accounting and reporting as well as ensure consistency of product costs for profitability steering.

  • Moreover, you will support global initiatives, lead key project activities and increase the efficiency of the Site Controlling through digitalization and automation.

What we expect

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting business or another related field, MBA would be beneficial

  • a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in controlling, finance and accounting as well as at least 5 years of profound leadership experience, preferably in a production environment

  • knowledge of cost accounting, budgets, financial and economic analysis, internal control methodologies and international financial reporting standards (IFRS)

  • experienced in working with analytical tools, such as Excel, SAP etc. and translating information

  • fluent in English, German or other language skills would be an advantage

  • ability to communicate, interact, influence as well as present effectively and to build organizational alignment globally
