What you can expect
Within our Operation & Supply Chain Management unit, you will support the transfer of manufacturing methods from lab scale to production scale.
In the process, you will assist the research and development team as well as the production plants with your expertise in the case of technical as well as conceptual matters.
You will also perform benchmarking and optimization involving production processes and will assume responsibility for process engineering planning of plants and equipment expansions.
In addition, you will coordinate among the interfaces involved and manage the specific units at BASF.
Selecting and placing orders with contract manufacturers will be your responsibility, and you will also act as a point of contact for questions relating to raw materials, technology-related safety, security aspects and production technology.
Last but not least, you will be responsible for determining costs as well as preparing tendering documents and will support the process of applying and approving of investment projects.
What we expect
You have a degree in process engineering, chemistry or chemical engineering and have ideally gone on to earn a doctorate.
In addition, you have far-reaching project experience in the BASF environment and have worked in production for several years.
Beyond that, you have solid skills relating to chemical engineering and extensive knowledge of process engineering and reaction technology.
Furthermore, you combine the ability to develop solution strategies with a highly developed sense of responsibility and the endurance to achieve goals and exceed expectations.
You communicate with poise and confidence in both German and English and are open to new ideas.
