Within start-up-like structures, we provide services to our customers in the automotive, aerospace and consumer goods sectors in a dynamic market. The business is built on materials, system solutions, components and services in the 3D printing sector and we work closely with global research platforms as well as BASF application technicians.
What you can expect
The Supply Chain Management team at BASF 3D Printing Solutions GmbH is responsible for the entire process of handling orders, from the time the order is received up until payment, and for planning of sales and production.
You plan the production requirements in a defined planning segment and support the development of new supply chains.
For that, you develop production plans at a monthly as well as annual level, ensure product availability and execute the necessary orders.
Alongside active management of interfaces with Business Lines, Sales and with the regions, you will analyze and validate demand forecasts, communicate planning results to the units involved and proactively highlight potential bottleneck situations.
You will ensure that inevitable changes in the plan have only minimal effects on existing customer orders and/or that the consequences thereof are communicated in a targeted fashion.
In addition, you will be responsible for stock management, managing product inventories and monitoring the expiration dates as well as turnover rates of materials in the process.
You will maintain and monitor materials master data, contribute your expertise in supply chain optimization projects and to process optimization in the global end-to-end management of the supply chain.
What we expect
Bachelor or Master in business and economics or engineering with several years of professional experience in the field of supply chain management, logistics or production
extensive knowledge relating to supply chain processes, especially in supply chain planning and operations, materials planning, plant and equipment technology and batch production
excellent skills with an ERP software program such as SAP Business One and MS Office applications, especially MS Excel
fluent in English as well as German to engage in discussions with colleagues and customers proficiently in an international environment
joy working on solutions as a group and sharing expertise with others
ability to successfully apply analytical mindset to operational supply chain challenges
