What you can expect
The Supply Chain Management team at BASF 3D Printing Solutions is responsible for the entire process of handling orders, from the time the order is received up until payment, and for planning of sales and production. In this position within our Operations & Supply Chain Management unit, you will be responsible for planning production requirements in a defined planning segment and will support the development of new supply chains.
Taking demand, capacity and existing targets into account, you will develop production plans at the monthly and annual level and will ensure product availability.
Alongside active management of interfaces with Marketing and Sales and with the regions, you will analyze and validate demand forecasts, communicate planning results to the units involved and proactively highlight potential bottleneck situations.
You will ensure that inevitable changes in the plan have only minimal effects on existing customer orders and/or that the consequences thereof are communicated in a targeted fashion.
You will manage the relevant production facilities and quantities, ensure the product availability of the raw materials and execute the necessary orders.
In addition, you will be responsible for stock management, managing product inventories and monitoring the expiration dates and turnover rates of materials in the process.
You will maintain and monitor materials master data, thereby ensuring optimum data quality, contribute your expertise in supply chain optimization projects and contribute to process optimization in the global end-to-end management of the supply chain.
What we expect
After earning your degree in business and economics or engineering, you have gained several years of professional experience in the field of supply chain management, logistics or production.
In the course of your activities to date, you have gained extensive knowledge and skills relating to supply chain processes, especially in supply chain planning and operations, materials planning, plant and equipment technology and batch production.
You have excellent knowledge and skills in an ERP software program such as SAP Business One and are a proficient user of the MS Office applications, especially MS Excel.
Your excellent German and English language skills allow you to engage in discussions with colleagues and customers proficiently in an international environment.
You enjoy working on solutions as a group and sharing your expertise with others and are able to successfully apply your highly analytical mindset to operational supply chain challenges.
On a personal level, you are distinguished by independent work organization, your highly developed sense of responsibility and a high level of communication and coordination skills.
