We are looking for someone like you to join our team! You will manage the Americas Customer Service & Export Management team resulting in customer satisfaction, operational excellence in order management, and promoting repeat business while complying with internal & external policies and procedures. Coordinate the activities between Customers, Supply Chain, Sales, Accounting, Credit, EH&S, Foreign Trade Compliance, Site Logistics and Functional (logistic) Groups.

As a Customer Care and Export Manager, You Create Chemistry By...

  • Being responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the team to achieve the desired Chemical Catalysts & Adsorbents business performance from customer request over on-time delivery and invoice payment. Ensure back-up support for Refining Catalysts Customer Service and Export Management Americas

  • Coaching and developing team members to reach their full potential. Supporting development assignments and movement of talent across units, motivating, and challenging to drive high performance, commit to "hiring the best" internally and externally, creating an inclusive environment which embraces and derives value from diversity. Establishing targets/objectives and conducting regular performance reviews for each team member

  • Being responsible for building and maintaining relationships with customers, account managers, affiliates, supply chain, business partners, and internal and external service providers.

  • Supporting Global Supply Chain Strategies and working collaboratively with respective colleagues in other regions to effectively implement and achieve excellence in import, export and Customer Service operations.

  • Understanding the overall Chemical Catalysts & Adsorbents organization strategy, how it fits into the broader scope of BASF, and be a key contributor to the success of the business unit; includes continuous improvement mind-set and driving the positive development of internal KPIs, Goals, and Objectives

  • Driving and implementing new technologies and processes within the team environment. Must demonstrate adaptability and positive leadership during change management situations including ever changing workload requirements

  • Ensuring policies and procedures are followed at the operational level

  • Developing and/or optimize processes and procedures from “quote till cash” including Non-Conformance Management

  • Providing project leadership across hubs, business units and global projects. Includes organizing clear key deliverables, establishing and meeting deadlines, action item resolution, information sharing with stake holders, decision making, collaboration, and final presentation.

  • Seeking and acting upon value-adding opportunities for collaboration within and across units.

  • Acting with Entrepreneurial Drive, taking ownership for results, overcome obstacles and drive change.

  • Demonstrating Customer Focus.

If you...

  • Hold BS/BA Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering or related field (MBA preferred)

  • Have 2+ years of Supervisory/Management Experience leading teams

  • Possess 5+ years Customer Service/Export/Import/Logistics experience

  • Count with excellent in-depth SAP experience such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word Skills
