Global Head of Human Resources (Director) Mobile Emissions Catalysts – Iselin, NJ (2103241)

The Mobile Emissions Catalysts (G-CCE) business is the world’s leading supplier of catalysts, with unsurpassed expertise in the development of emission control technologies for a wide range of market applications that protect the air we breathe.

As the Global Head of Human Resources (Director) for the Mobile Emissions Catalysts business, you will have an active role in steering the organization as the key advisor to the SVP of the business and as a member of the CCE Leadership Team. You will also be the primary business partner to the Global Sales organization, with 4 VPs located in each region.

As the Head of HR, you have the responsibility and accountability to driving people strategies developed to increase employee engagement, enable business strategies, and build high performing teams. As a leader of people, you will lead a team of 28 globally focusing on coaching, motivating, and developing the team and your direct reports.

You will champion BASF’s employer value proposition and its principles, by connecting people and knowledge, putting learning first, engaging people to drive a high-performance culture, and caring about our employees.

Qualifications – NOTE: Not all positions are eligible for cross-regional relocation/work authorization. Cross regional is defined as movement between countries (e.g., Canada to U.S.).

Formula for Success

  • Leveraging your strong educational background and prior work experience in progressively responsible HR positions, you will influence unit leaders and their team members through change and be an important asset in connecting business strategy to people strategy while driving higher business unit performance.

  • Leveraging your strong coaching skills, you will be a strong advisor, supporter and challenger to the SVP and focus on building a strong leadership team through team effectiveness coaching.

  • Leverage your strong leadership competencies to provide functional and disciplinary leadership to a team of 25 globally virtual team members with a clear focus on team development, resource planning and performance management.

  • Effectively engaging across the businesses, functions, and regions, you will steer HR topics globally via local and regional HR Business Partners

  • Through strategic workforce planning, you will provide data driven insights for decision making, weigh the implications of trends and recommend revision or creation of new strategies; grow leader and manager capabilities; define selection criteria for key positions

  • Leverage strong HR Business Partnering skills to consult and support Senior Leaders on strategic HR topics such as personnel planning, performance management for Management Level and Talent Management according to CC standards.

  • This individual must be willing to travel between 30-50% of the time.
