Global Manager, Segment Controlling - Iselin, NJ
Where the Chemistry Happens…
As Global Manager Segment Controlling, you will be responsible for leading the Business Unit’s global Segment Controlling, supporting two SBUs with NS3P of more than Eur 7bn. You will act as a business partner for the Business Unit’s SVP and Management Team, advising on financial / economic planning and leading operational planning and steering processes. You will ensure that corporate and divisional internal controls, auditing, and risk management requirements are established, with a specific focus on precious – and base metal trading activities. You will ensure the compliance and enforcement of all financial policies and procedures including ICTP and Accounting guidelines. You will counsel management regarding the interpretation, implementation, and compliance with financial policies and procedures.
As a business partner, you will provide guidance, challenge, consult, and partner with the business unit leadership to drive effective decision making and value generation. You will develop and implement strategic objectives and be accountable to provide senior level business consulting, analysis, and recommendations.
In collaboration with and as a member of the BU leadership team you will develop alternatives and scenarios for M&A, JVs, licensing, business models, capital investments, tolling, and other business decisions.
You will drive continuous improvements and lead projects with a specific focus on digitization and process automation and establish a global segment controlling community.
You will be responsible to develop the team’s organization and capabilities through coaching, collaborative leadership, individual development planning, and by creating an inclusive work culture.
You will be based at the BASF Catalysts Global headquarters in Iselin, NJ, reporting directly to the Global Director of Finance, Controlling, and Operations.
CCM is a worldwide leader in the field of precious – and base metals management, offering a comprehensive metals management services - from raw metals supply and scrap reclamation to trading, hedging, and financial risk management.

Leveraging your solid and recognized knowhow in Business Steering, Financial Reporting, and Digitization, you apply conceptual and creative thinking to consult both senior management and guide and develop the global controlling team
Based on your comprehensive experience in both expert - and leadership positions, you act as an active member of the CCM Leadership Team and lead projects as well as strategic initiatives
You will ensure the implementation and maintenance of appropriate reporting processes to effectively and efficiently measure business performance and results
Applying digital and continuous improvement principles, you’ll ensure processes are efficient, effective, and robust
Leveraging your experience in a business steering-related role, you’ll analyze market data as well as business results, and conduct complex analysis and create effective, forward-looking reporting and steering frameworks for the business unit
Based on your proven track record as a successful people manager, you build a high-performing Controlling Team and develop digital talents .
