Global Product Manager (1903206) – Iselin, NJ
Where the Chemistry Happens
We are seeking a professional like you to work globally with key groups to meet business objectives in terms of capacity and product availability, quality, cost, new product commercialization, and responsible care. These groups include R&D, Technology, Manufacturing, Sales, Supply Chain, Customer Care, and EHS. You will also across the organization to assist in the identification, development, and implementation of work process improvements and tools to facilitate the achievement of the team’s key performance objectives.
Formula for Success
Leveraging your education in a technical discipline (Science / Engineering) and your industrial experience with exposure to R&D, manufacturing, and technology groups (additional exposure to sales, marketing, customer care, supply chain, and EHS would be considered an asset), you will work with Supply Chain and Manufacturing teams to ensure completion of demand/supply plans for experimental, new products, newcomponents, and ensure that the plan is being executed to meet inventory targets and business requirements.Additionally, you will work with Supply Chain, Customer Care, and Sales teams to complete requests for non-standard conditions or if situations result in conflicting needs or priorities and actively facilitate the resolution of issues, including establishing priorities in Manufacturing in case of conflicts as needed.
Using your excellent listening skills and your ability to foster an environment of creativity/openness to new ideas and enable resolution of issues while preserving team effectiveness, you will collaborate with Manufacturing and Finance teams to ensure that manufacturing costs are clearly defined and meet business objectives, facilitate resolution of issues as needed, and support global Marketing in defining minimum margin requirements in Product Selection Team meetings.
Your ability to work with and influence others without having direct supervisory control will be a valued asset as you work with Supply Chain, R&D, Technology, Marketing, Sales, and Manufacturing teams.
Your demonstrated ability to identify gaps and needs to meet key business / project objectives and work with teams to develop key tasks milestone / project plans and implement those plans will aid you in working with Technology and Manufacturing teams to assist in the implementation of the business’ capacity plans for the production of existing and new products.
Your superior communication, interpersonal, influencing and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with key decision makers, will serve you well as you work with Purchasing, Process Development, and Manufacturing teams in the implementation of plans to secure the supply of key raw materials. You will also use these skills to work with Marketing and Sales to track key KPI’s in the execution of the strategic plan on a global and regional level and partner with Marketing, Manufacturing, Sales, and IT groups in implementing continuous improvements opportunities to streamline efficiency and effectiveness.
Successfully engaging across the organization, you will work with experts on tolling in Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Legal regarding opportunities to source products from 3 rd parties.
Working as a self-starter with a keen attention to detail, you will lead efforts, working with Product Stewardship and EH&S teams to ensure that SDS’s are current for all products. You will also proactively work with R&D to ensure the proper establishment of substance compositions as needed.
Your strong experience in SAP and other ERP systems will be beneficial as you work with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain in the updating of the sales forecasts to insure availability of products.
