Global Technology/Tech Services Director (2202457) – Iselin, NJ

Where the Chemistry Happens

We are seeking a professional like you to join our team and supervise the Global Technology and Technical Services team, including a total of 15 permanent team members located in 3 different regions, covering up to 400 customers around the world.

Formula for Success

  • Leveraging your background in Chemical Engineering or related field with your experience in the fields of refining or heterogeneous catalysis, you will develop and implement technical service best practices to support customer acquisition and retention in all markets served by CCP/R.

  • Relying upon your previous Fluid Catalytic Cracking and catalyst R&D experience, you will define and implement the strategy for the collaborations with customer R&D centers and central technology functions, as well as with universities and research institutions. You will also explore new strategic markets for CCP/R in other fields such as Deep Catalytic Cracking, Maxofin, and High Severity-Fluid Cracking Catalyst (FCC), as well as provide technical input/guidance for CCP/R strategy formulation and R&D coordination.

  • Utilizing your excellent computer skills, you will lead a team of experts to analyze the non-routine and complex operational or technical problems escalated by customers across the globe using internal and external tools such as data/unit analyses, laboratory characterization and computer-modelling.

  • Demonstrating your international customer facing experience, you will coordinate customer interaction model implementation for technical service offerings, as well as and provide creative solutions to customers while solving challenging technical problems.

  • Your Catalyst design and commercialization experience from inception to market introduction will be essential, as you lead and coordinate all technical activities for commercialization of new products, as well as manage technical side of product selection process for all offerings to global customers.

  • Displaying your supervisory and leadership experience and your technical expertise in both FCC and catalysis, you will supervise a network of external FCC consultants including control of budget and spending.

  • Combining your excellent communication skills, with your technical writing and public speaking, you will lead interactions and collaborations with FCC Licensors such as UOP, Technip, and KBR.

  • Your track record of high impact technical publications and presentations will be a valued asset, as you serve in an IP steering committee and oversee all technical publications and presentations.

  • Your international and multinational project management experience will be key, as you coordinate the activities of Ecat laboratories in Iselin, NJ and Heidelberg, Germany, as well as coordinate all technology and technical service activities for FCC additives and Moving Bed Catalysts.
