Project Engineer (1801968) – Iselin, NJ

Where the Chemistry Happens

The RCC Organization (Catalyst Research) continuously expands or upgrades catalyst testing capabilities that include laboratory testing equipment, analytical apparatus, and specialized control software. These projects and related activities are managed by a professional like you, who works with internal partners and sponsors to develop project scopes, execution strategy, and implementation phases. You will be responsible for successful execution of the projects assigned and instrumental in supporting overall organization goals, programs, and initiatives, such as safety, maintenance and documentation.

Formula for Success

  • Leveraging your extensive educational background in Chemical Engineering or a related field, along with your laboratory or plant/project engineering operations experience, you will work with project teams to complete critical tasks such as project engineering, process evaluations and development, operating procedures, equipment selection, safety and technical reviews and other.

  • Your strong fundamental knowledge of Engineering and Science will be a valued asset as you will champion project scope development and ensure basic engineering completeness while applying techniques that add value.

  • Your excellent project management skills will be essential as you will manage multiple small- and medium-size projects that vary in scope and complexity, including design and construction of highly customized R&D equipment on laboratory and pilot plant scale.

  • Your commitment to workplace safety will be critical as you will be relied on to maintain a safe and productive workplace and ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and technical standards.

  • Utilizing your extensive communication and presentation skills, you will lead the development of project technical packages that include P&IDs, equipment layouts, specifications of components in full compliance with applicable industry standards and local codes.

  • Driving strategic decisions for the business, you will generate RFQ packages for competitive bidding, review of vendor submittals, and work with Procurement to purchase necessary equipment.

  • Your in-depth knowledge of small-scale specialty gas operations/delivery systems will be a plus as you will lead the design and development of industrial/laboratory equipment that utilize sophisticated specialty gas delivery systems, high temperature heating, and advanced controls.
