Where the Chemistry Happens…
The Senior Finance & North America Analyst, reporting to the CCP Global Custom Catalyst Finance Manager & Business Steering Manager, will be responsible for supporting the Custom Catalyst business, closing reporting and performance analysis of overall Chemical Catalyst business for North America (NA), target-setting, and tactical planning help to manage lobal cash/balance sheet categories such as inventory, receivables, and cost of capital analysis. Additional duties include PVX, NA analysis, developing P&L & BS forecasting models, and strategic projects/initiatives.

Formula for Success: You Will…
Assist in strategic planning and budgeting process, monthly financial performance management, and business analysis for the Custom Catalyst global business.
Lead detailed analysis on global plant cost for Custom Catalyst, deriving conclusions, trends, and improvement ideas to enhance forecasting accuracy for the business.
Assist in the monthly financial performance management and business analysis for North America, with regional view of entire Chemical Catalyst business.
Lead execution of Divisional Controlling requirements for the NA region (e.g., commentary, forecast, ad-hoc requests).
Support Market Profit implementation within the Business Unit.
Support preparation of monthly reporting packages and projections, as well as executive presentations/analysis.
Consolidate, analyze, and report key trends for monthly/quarterly/annual results, as well as budgets/MTO/strategic analysis.
Serve as point-of-contact for inventory, receivables, and cost of capital questions/analysis.
Help with analysis to understand operational drivers to enable discussions on improvement opportunities.
Implement improvement projects to enhance data transparency/business steering/simplification efforts.

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in a quantitative field (e.g., Finance, Accounting).
At least 3 years of financial experience.
Basic knowledge of accounting theory and practice/IFRS and systems, budgets, financial/economic analysis, planning, and internal control methodologies.
Strong analytical skills, including Excel competency in data compilation and aggregation for complex analysis (e.g. pivot tables, v-lookup) and PowerPoint. High level communication of conclusions.
Solid hands-on working knowledge within BASF’s SAP, BW, and GBW-based tools is highly desirable.
Curious mindset and motivation to help learning and finding new improvement opportunities.
Must be detailed-oriented, organized, and possess the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and leadership skills for interaction with cross-functional teams.
