What you can expect
With its xarvio (TM) product portfolio the BASF Digital Farming GmbH enables farmers to improve and automate agriculture by using data such as smart sensors, advanced models and artificial intelligence.
You will be responsible for generating advanced analytics toolchains for our agronomic decision engine, with a special focus on new methods to collect scalable agronomic data.
Furthermore, you will design and analyze experiments including defining requirements on data points as well as communicating and justifying this to the entire team.
You will collaborate with agronomists and software engineers to design, develop as well as deploy data-based agronomic decision models for planting recommendations.
In addition, you will align module interfaces, flow and objectives harmonization.
Last but not least, you will manage external partnerships, oversee field validation and data collection for your projects to match the defined requirements.
What we expect
Degree in Computer Sciences
Relevant industry experience in shipping code, reliably using best practices including testing, documentation, version control and management
Solid experience in machine learning techniques including data science workflow, statistical analysis and modeling
Proficient in R or Python as well as solid experience in a GIS environment and data analysis (such as ArcGIS, QGIS, R or Python) to transform raw data into a final analysis
Fluent English language skills
