What you can expect

With its xarvio (TM) product portfolio the BASF Digital Farming GmbH enables farmers to improve and automate agriculture by using data such as smart sensors, advanced models and artificial intelligence.

  • As a project leader, for one of our enabling hardware projects, you will get the opportunity to conceptualize, develop and validate a new generation of technology for crop optimization.

  • You will be responsible for the overall project team steering and enabling the project team to develop the best possible solution.

  • Furthermore, you will identify customer needs as well as value potential and translate this into a digital product development pipeline for our crop optimization technology, using design thinking principles.

  • You will ensure agreements within the project team and orchestrate all project resources as well as the priorities agreements.

  • In addition, you will reach agreements at senior leadership level, by providing concise updates and preparing decision guidelines as well as recommendations.

What we expect

  • Degree in Agricultural Sciences or (Software) Engineering

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in managering research and development projects in Agriculture Technology, from that, ideally 3 years of professional experience in consulting or agile software development

  • Fluent English language skills

  • Willingness to travel internationally

  • Ability to orchestrate teams of various specializations through high interpersonal skills
