What you can expect
In the Imaging unit we develop unique algorithms that, in combination with light projectors and CMOS-based camera systems, enable the simultaneous acquisition of depth information and material properties in imaging form. The fusion of image data, depth information and material parameters with a camera system enables the next generation of machine vision. With the help of this multi-dimensional sensor we develop system solutions for the "bin-picking" problem of our industrial customers.
As a highly motivated specialist in algorithms, you help our team take robotic applications to the next level.
Therefore, you design and validate robust algorithms to detect and handle objects.
In cooperation with our Data Science team, you train and validate machine learning approaches, optimize gripping processes and cycle times.
Furthermore, you support the software team in integrating the algorithms into the "trinamiX Computer Vision Framework".
Setting up and testing the developed robotic sensor system in the test laboratory and at our customers' site complete your tasks.
What we expect
You have successfully completed your studies in computer science, mathematics, physics or engineering and gained experience in robotics, computer vision, image processing or machine learning / deep learning.
Ideally, you have sound programming skills in C ++ and at least one scripting language (eg Python or Matlab) and are familiar with documentation tools such as Doxygen or development processes such as Scrum.
You have experience in dealing with versioning systems (e.g. git or SVN) and with frameworks for unit tests (e.g. catch, googletest).
Finally, you are familiar with one or more of the following libraries: OpenCV, Halcon, Boost, PCL, TensorFlow, Keras, and / or CUDA.
