What you can expect
Our Construction Planning unit offers planning services for new plants and changes in plants within the BASF Group, for example production buildings, office/control room buildings and infrastructure facilities.
In this role, you will plan the construction part of our production facilities as well as social and auxiliary buildings worldwide.
You will keep deadlines, costs and tendering processes in mind at all times and will be responsible for execution plans.
You will turn over responsibility for planning from service phase 3 onward to local external engineering firms or multinational contractors.
Moreover, you will monitor and evaluate all German Fee Scales for Architects and Engineers (HOAI) planning phases for property and load-bearing structure planning.
In the case of technical questions relating to construction and for finding solutions, you will be the right point of contact for our internal customers. Furthermore, you will work on an interdisciplinary basis within a team to develop the best solution.
What we expect
You have extensive knowledge, skills and several years of practical experience in the field of construction, ideally with a focus on industrial construction.
Besides that, you have professional experience and expertise in project management or construction management.
In addition, you have a good understanding of structural engineering and solid subject-specific knowledge of construction in order to develop construction concepts; the basis for this is your studies of architecture.
With your open and empathetic communication style in German and English, you can handle even international teamwork.
You are willing to compromise, have a good and rapid grasp of new information and ideas and can familiarize yourself even with issues that are not specific to construction, but that affect the fields involved in the planning process.
