What you can expect
In the Imaging unit we develop unique algorithms which, in combination with light projectors and CMOS-based camera systems, enable the simultaneous acquisition of depth information and material properties in imaging form. The fusion of image data, depth information and material parameters with a camera system enables the next generation of machine vision.
As a highly motivated data scientist, you will support our team in taking robotics applications and biometric capture in mobile applications to the next level.
To do this, you design and validate image, depth and material data records that are recorded with our special XperYenZ camera system.
In addition, you evaluate these data sets with our XperYenZ technology regarding the modeling for object identification, object orientation in space and image segmentation.
You will also support the development of algorithms using data models and product development in the field of robotics and smartphones.
What we expect
You have successfully completed your studies in physics, computer science or mathematics and gained professional experience or a doctorate in data mining, machine learning or statistics.
In addition, you are familiar with data analysis and data validation in the context of statistical procedures whereas the evaluation of image data does not cause you any difficulties.
You also have a solid knowledge of R or PyData and are experienced in methods of supervised and unsupervised learning.
For this reason, dimension reduction, clustering or classification, PCA, mean shift, k-Means, SVM, Random Forrest and Deep Learning are not foreign words to you.
Ideally you have knowledge in Rapid Prototyping (e.g. Python), C++, Tensor Flow with Keras and Design of Experiments.
