The Process Research and Chemical Engineering Division brings together a variety of competencies, including inorganic chemistry, organic synthesis, battery materials research, catalysis, process development and technology, as well as technical services for laboratories/technical centers. In interdisciplinary global teams, we develop innovative products, processes and technologies for a sustainable future and work with internal partners and customers.
What you can expect
The competence of our unit lies in the development of new processes and in the further development as well as optimization of existing polymer processes for our customers. The focus is on reducing the carbon footprint, developing competitive recycling concepts and optimizing existing processes through digitalization.
You will manage a research laboratory and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety and environmental protection regulations.
In addition you will serve as a point of contact for operational units and scientific partners as well as define, initiate and lead projects for improved as well as new processes.
Depending on your specialization, the focus of the projects will be in the area of sustainability/recycling or optimization of existing processes with digital methods.
Last but not least, you will document and evaluate progress and coordinate the transfer of results to the technical center, production and other units.
What we expect
degree in process engineering, chemistry or chemical engineering, ideally supplemented by a doctoral degree
knowledge of process development
development of creative solutions and commitment in a team
target-oriented and clear way of communication as well as comprehensible communication of complex issues in German as well as in English
we are looking for candidates who are familiar with basic process engineering operations and have at least a basic understanding of chemistry
