The Global Engineering Services division is responsible for the implementation of BASF's plant construction projects. We advise and support the various corporate divisions by providing expert services throughout the plant's life cycle, such as automation, process or mechanical engineering. We push forward innovations in all areas of the chemical industry - and turn laboratory developments into worldwide production plants.

What you can expect

Our Construction Management Large Capital Projects unit is responsible for the assembly of chemical plants at the Ludwigshafen site and, if necessary, worldwide.

  • You will work on the implementation of HVAC construction management in large-scale projects and on implementation of new processes and methods.

  • Furthermore, you think ahead of work processes as well as construction site conditions and are able to present these processes as well as assembly procedures virtually with suitable software.

  • As Engineer HVAC (m/f/d) you will supervise the timely, functional and cost-effective processing of medium and large assembly orders, if necessary on a global scale.

  • You will take over the technical management of contractors, control internal and external personnel as well as participate in projects.

  • During the implementation of projects, you will coordinate the specialist departments and contractors involved, monitor the contractually agreed performance and invoicing of services, including the preparation of the agreed documentation.

  • You will prepare and evaluate service descriptions and assembly concepts.

  • Last but not least, you will support and coordinate the tendering of the relevant trades and ensure that costs and deadlines are met, taking into account safety, health and environmental protection (SGU).

What we expect

  • Degree in utility engineering or a comparable qualification

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in construction sites as well as in projects

  • Knowledge of the TGA disciplines heating, ventilation, air conditioning, laboratory technology, sanitary

  • Know-how in 3D planning software for plant construction and in scheduling software MS Projekt, Primavera

  • Knowledge of SHE management

  • Strong communication skills in German and English

  • Leadership skills, determination and the ability to work in a team to achieve joint success
