In the Corporate Development Central Unit, we support the Board of Executive Directors and the various divisions with a whole range of services: management consulting, economic assessments and strategic planning. In addition, we offer a range of training courses, set benchmarks and prepare industry forecasts. With our considerable expertise and experience, we adapt every one of our solutions to suit our customers.
What you can expect
We are looking for a candidate to join our Applied Sustainability unit for a period of 3 to 6 months, effective immediately.
To us as the world´s largest chemical company, sustainability means striking a balance between economic growth, environmental protection and social responsibility.
You will make your contribution during evaluation of methods of determining the environmental footprint and when maintaining environmental footprint datasets in our IT system.
In addition, you will perform benchmarking and research work on specific environmental and social topics.
Beyond that, you will support us in preparing environmental footprint studies in projects for the BASF Group.
What we expect
You are currently enrolled in a study program in the physical, life or environmental sciences and have always achieved above-average results thus far.
You have earned at least 90 ECTS credits and are highly interested in topics relating to sustainability.
You have excellent knowledge and skills relating to analyzing and interpreting large volumes of data in MS Excel and are a proficient user of MS PowerPoint.
In addition, you ideally already have initial knowledge and skills in process modeling using a standard LCA software application and regarding determining a product’s environmental footprint.
Beyond that, you are an excellent communicator in German and English and are impressive for your independent working style and good strategic skills.
