The Process Research and Chemical Engineering Division brings together a variety of competencies, including inorganic chemistry, organic synthesis, battery materials research, catalysis, process development and technology, as well as technical services for laboratories/technical centers. In interdisciplinary global teams, we develop innovative products, processes and technologies for a sustainable future and work with internal partners and customers.
What you can expect
In our research area Process Research and Chemical Engineering you will develop new catalytic materials as well as technologies and optimize existing heterogeneous catalysts for industrial scale processes.
Together with your laboratory team, you will organize and optimize laboratory workflows and be responsible for compliance with occupational, safety as well as environmental regulations.
Based on your expertise, you initiate research projects and drive them forward with determination.
You will be actively involved in developing and establishing contacts with partners in research and the operational units.
In addition, you will use the regular exchange with specialist units to clarify technical, patent and chemical law as well as economic requirements for projects and product developments.
What we expect
successfully completed doctoral degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or a comparable field
Knowledge with precious metal based catalysts advantageous
excellent communication skills in an international environment in German and English
familiar with standard software in chemical research
