What you can expect
The main working area of our Pathology unit is the whole pathology technique from necropsy to histopathological assessment of tissues from animal studies.
You will be the study pathologist for all types of mechanistic and regulatory studies, ensure evaluation and interpretation of pathology data by concurrent adherence to international regulatory guidelines, INHAND nomenclature as well as GLP and ISO.
You will provide scientific and technical expertise in immunohistochemistry techniques, digital pathology and associated molecular pathology applications.
You will participate in the scientific development and establishing of new methods and contribute to publication and communication whenever possible.
You will supervise necropsies and perform histopathological examinations on a wide variety of laboratory species.
You will ensure that work performed is in accordance with the requirements of the study plan and in full compliance with GLP and ISO.
You will strive continuously for improvement of criteria for efficiency, quality and safety.
What we expect
You have successfully finished your studies with a PhD in veterinary medicine or equivalent and have gained additional certified qualification in veterinary pathology.
You possess a board certification by the European or the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (Dipl. ECVP or DACVP) or equivalent.
Ideally, you provide substantial expertise in toxicologic or investigative pathology from a Contract Research Organization or pharmaceutical industry.
You have knowledge of basic toxicology, laboratory animal science and animal welfare.
You are versed in using your excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Personally, you show a high level of interpersonal skills, such as strong leadership and management skills.
