What you can expect
Within our Project BASF 4.0 unit Smart IT, we are looking for IT project managers with background in Engineering & Maintenance IT solutions to drive together with us the technical realization of our new digitalization solutions, to support the implementation and rollout of global BASF 4.0 Smart Manufacturing projects, such as Augmented Reality, Engineering Data Management and Safe Work.
You will lead a cross-functional and cross-regional project team throughout the project phases in a global environment with teams, assuming responsibility for project budgets typically of up to 5 Mio Euro.
As a reliable partner for the sponsor and other stakeholders, you are in charge of delivering projects successfully in time, budget, scope and quality.
In order to do so, you will setup the project organization, identify relevant roles and staff the project team.
You will take care for adherence and enablement of project process compliance, support project approval processes and be responsible for the achievement of project stage gates, including status and financial reporting.
Moreover, you will establish the continuing development and realization of project change and communication plans.
In close collaboration with the disciplinary/functional leaders, you will ensure compliance with relevant HR requirements, e.g. Working Time Act, for the project staff.
What we expect
You have a degree or have completed a comparable education in the field of computer science and have acquired several years of professional experience in an IT environment, ideally in the area Engineering & Maintenance, Operations or Manufacturing.
Due to your extensive experience in project management you are able to understand and lead projects focusing on business targets.
You have in-depth know-how in information technology, project management and service tools and working experience in IT projects for Engineering & Maintenance.
Therefore, you are familiar with respective SAP technology, IT applications, systems and infrastructure as well as IT security and risk management aspects.
You have experience with working according to established project management standards and methods (e.g. PMP certification).
Presenting language in a convincing manner and acting as a communicator.
Personally, you are able to set targets for project members, align with the functional manager and contribute to the development of other project managers through coaching.
