In the Advanced Materials & Systems Research Division, our multifaceted team works together to develop functional materials and systems for high-performance, innovative and sustainable solutions for our customers in various different industries. At the same time, we meet the legal and economic requirements.
What you can expect
As part of an enthusiastic interdisciplinary global team of experts in our Competence Center Analytics you will provide chemometric assistance to solve analytical problems.
Together with our scientists you will develop chemometric models to support the analytical services for research, development and production.
In this context, you can bring in your broad experience in data pretreatment as well as chemometric methods and algorithms.
You will use all kinds of analytical data from research laboratories as well as from production plants to develop novel prediction approaches, including PLS, PCA, LDA, SVM, and other statistical methods.
Through your independent work, you will actively participate within our team of experts in the BASF innovation process.
What we expect
Phd in chemistry, physics, analytics or a comparable discipline with a focus on chemometric evaluation of analytical data
Strong expertise in chemometrics, statistics and model development, preferably by using your suitable software knowledge, e.g. R, Python, MATLAB or Unscrambler
