What you can expect
Our Early Fungicide Biology unit works in lab and greenhouse settings on the molecular mechanisms of the effects of new fungicides.
You will develop scientific solutions to problems in a well-organized and experimental way and will proactively develop new ideas.
You will mobilize internal and external know-how, develop cooperative relationships and update the expertise that exists in your own specific field on an ongoing basis.
In addition, you will independently manage internal and external projects and will coordinate workflows and prioritize and monitor deadlines in the process.
You will lead the employees of the lab team with respect to goal-oriented, cost-conscious and safe working on a capable basis and will actively provide feedback, delegate responsibility and further develop your employees with specific goals in mind.
You will also make a proactive contribution to safety-related work and will ensure that the compliance program (code of conduct) of BASF SE is implemented.
In addition, you will observe and evaluate market trends and research trends as well as the activities of competitors.
What we expect
You have earned a PhD in natural science or agricultural science.
You have solid scientific experience in molecular genetics and active ingredient resistance in a clinical or agricultural environment in a professional function.
You are also familiar with modern methods in molecular biology, such as next-generation sequencing and genome editing, and have good knowledge and skills relating to techniques used in molecular biology and biochemistry.
Alongside your excellent communication skills in German and English, you are impressive for your ability to lead a team to success.
