What you can expect

Support our Cross-indicational Synthesis for Crop Protection team in identifying and developing highly effective and innovative chemical crop protection products.

  • Within the scope of this activity, you will lead a laboratory team in the field of organic synthesis and gain insights into active ingredient research activities as well as process development of crop protection products.

  • You will also closely follow current market trends, evaluate them in terms of their relevance for BASF and make appropriate recommendations for new applications.

  • In addition, you will prepare research results in a vivid manner and present them in an appropriate form.

  • You will demonstrate your commitment in internationally positioned, interdisciplinary teams and work on projects with a high sense of responsibility.

  • With great sensitivity, you will maintain networks with scientific partners and establish good, lasting contacts.

What we expect

  • successfully completed PhD in chemistry

  • knowledge in the field of organic-chemical synthesis

  • experience with the common analysis and testing methods as well as with the general workflows in research laboratories

  • routine handling of standard IT applications

  • very good English language skills
