What you can expect
Support our Cross-indicational Synthesis for Crop Protection team in identifying and developing highly effective and innovative chemical crop protection products.
Within the scope of this activity, you will lead a laboratory team in the field of organic synthesis and gain insights into active ingredient research activities as well as process development of crop protection products.
You will also closely follow current market trends, evaluate them in terms of their relevance for BASF and make appropriate recommendations for new applications.
In addition, you will prepare research results in a vivid manner and present them in an appropriate form.
You will demonstrate your commitment in internationally positioned, interdisciplinary teams and work on projects with a high sense of responsibility.
With great sensitivity, you will maintain networks with scientific partners and establish good, lasting contacts.
What we expect
PhD in chemistry
Knowledge in the field of organic-chemical synthesis
Experience with the common analysis and testing methods as well as with the general workflows in research laboratories
Experience in companies providing synthetic services desirable
Routine handling of standard IT applications
Very good English language skills
