What you can expect
In the position of Intellectual Property Counsel (m/f) within the Global Intellectual Property unit, you will be the point of contact for all issues associated with intellectual property rights.
In the process, you will advise marketing, research, development and production teams on identifying ideas that merit protection and will be involved in preparing global patent strategies.
You will analyze third-party IP rights and be responsible for monitoring and supporting an existing patent portfolio, drafting new applications and the associated grant, opposition and appeal procedures.
You will support the market launch of products and advise the operational business in complex intellectual property rights situations.
You will be involved in contract negotiations and will draft contracts regarding intellectual property rights.
What we expect
After earning your degree in chemistry or engineering, you have already gathered several years of professional experience in the area of industrial property rights.
Ideally, you have passed the exam to become a German "Patentanwalt" and/or European Patent Attorney.
You have already drafted patent applications on your own and have experience working on the relevant procedures before the patent offices.
It is easy for you to identify and depict complex technical and legal matters.
You are familiar with the common standard IT applications and preferably have knowledge and skills in the area of contracts relating to intellectual property rights.
You actively contribute within the team in order to achieve goals together, seek out entrepreneurial opportunities, advance topics on your own initiatives and communicate and argue persuasively in both German and English.
