In the Advanced Materials & Systems Research Division, our multifaceted team works together to develop functional materials and systems for high-performance, innovative and sustainable solutions for our customers in various different industries. At the same time, we meet the legal and economic requirements.
What you can expect
Within our elemental analysis department of the Competence Center Analytics, we are BASF's experts for all questions concerning the elemental composition of a sample - from main components to ultratraces.
In close cooperation with our clients, you develop optimal analytical solutions.
You also evaluate and develop concepts for further developments in the field of laboratory automation for Analytics 4.0.
You initiate research projects and actively participate in the development and establishment of contacts to partners in research and business units.
In regular exchanges with national and international experts within and outside BASF you further develop and optimize your field of expertise.
In addition to managing an analytical laboratory, you will also be responsible for the professional management of your staff members.
Together with the laboratory team, you organize and optimize the workflow in the laboratory and be responsible for compliance with occupational safety and environmental protection regulation.
What we expect
above average PhD in chemistry
in-depth knowledge of analytical chemistry with focus on atomic spectrometry
at least 2 years of professional experience with analytical orientation and knowledge in the fields of elemental analysis
several years of experience in the digitalization and automation of laboratory processes
very good team and communication skills in German and English
