What you can expect
The Chemical Process Modeling unit is responsible for the development of methods and processing of projects in the modeling, simulation and optimization in the area of chemical and process engineering with focus on physical property data, as well as reaction and overall processes. In our physical property data team, we support research and development as well as production and technology by providing and evaluating physical property data in databases, thermodynamic modeling based on physically sound models, and the selection of additives and auxiliary substances for alternative process concepts.
You independently carry out complex projects and propose optimization options as well as new concepts.
You initiate a cross-unit knowledge transfer in the field.
You are always informed about new developments, market trends and competitor activities and maintain a network with BASF's operational and research units.
Last but not least, you will be co-responsible for the implementation of digital methods in the Process Research and Chemical Engineering research unit.
What we expect
above-average degree in the field of physical chemistry, chemical engineering or process engineering, ideally supplemented by a doctoral degree
sound professional experience in interaction with different research disciplines in the treatment of thermodynamic as well as chemical and process engineering issues
special knowledge in modeling thermophysical property data
