The Global Engineering Services Division is responsible for the implementation of BASF's plant construction projects. We advise and support the various corporate divisions by providing expert services throughout the plant's life cycle, such as automation, process or mechanical engineering. We push forward innovations in all areas of the chemical industry - and turn laboratory developments into worldwide production plants.
What you can expect
Our Innovation and Application Development unit performs design, construction and workshop services for research and production facilities.
As part of your internship in the field of design and construction, you will provide support during the development, further development and evolution of applications for mixed as well as augmented reality devices such as Microsoft HoloLens.
In addition, you will help with the development of immersive applications for the Microsoft HoloLens.
You will visualize and animate 3D objects.
Working as part of an interdisciplinary team, you will support and develop applications from the idea through to implementation.
What we expect
Enrolled in a program in computer science, engineering with applied computer science, mechanical engineering or a comparable discipline
Ideally, initial experience with an object-oriented programming language (e.g. C#, Java) and initial knowledge as well as skills relating to Unity3d or Unreal Engine 3
Enjoyment of working within multidisciplinary teams
Development of ideas on your own and implementing them independently in the form of your own applications
