Not only your performance but also your personality matter to us, without regard to gender, age, origin, sexual orientation, disability or belief. At BASF, careers develop from opportunities.
The Coatings division of BASF is a global expert in the development, production and marketing of innovative and sustainable automotive OEM and refinish coatings, as well as decorative paints and, through the acquisition of Chemetall, is a leading global supplier of applied surface treatments for metal, plastic and glass substrates. We create advanced performance solutions and drive performance, design and new applications to meet our partners’ needs all over the world.
What you can expect
It is now more important than ever to maintain and further develop the knowledge and expertise of not only our employees, but also our customers, in coating businesses. That is exactly what our Automotive Refinish Academy unit does.
For country trainers, application technicians and our customers, you will assume responsibility for preparing and holding technical seminars on products, processes and colors.
In the course of these activities, you will support the ongoing training and further development of country trainers and application technicians in specific countries (train the trainer).
You will support new developments through application technology validation of product and process solutions, benchmark tests and introduction within the operations of pilot customers.
In line with global strategies, you will update and coordinate technical training content, training modules and working methods.
To ensure that you can share your knowledge with others, you will continuously further develop your own knowledge of markets, products and technologies and your communication, argumentation and teaching skills.
What we expect
You have completed a formal vocational training program to become a certified master painter or have comparable qualifications and have amassed several years of professional experience in the workshop or as an application technician.
Alongside good knowledge of products and technologies, you have experience with modern application processes and, ideally, with workshop process solutions.
You are a proficient user of MS Office, digital solutions and workshop-related color software solutions.
On a personal level, you are able to communicate effectively in German and English, and ideally also in French, and are willing to travel.
Customer focus and the ability to share knowledge and experience so that others can expand their skills and abilities complete your profile.
Responsibility from day one in a challenging work environment and "on-the-job" training as part of a committed team.
Competitive compensation including attractive benefits as well as excellent career opportunities in an international Company.
