Equipment Strategy and Bad Actor Engineer Position (2200099) – McIntosh, AL
Where the Chemistry Happens
We are seeking a professional like you to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for developing and implementing equipment strategies to ensure the site meets a high level of reliability. This includes developing and maintaining a sitewide Bad Actor Program to ensure that the highest priority reliability challenges are identified and being addressed by RFCAs and weakness elimination to improve operation. You will also collaborate with other members of the Asset Group as well as Production and Maintenance personnel to build consensus on the identification and implementation of improvements.
Formula for Success
Leveraging your education in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with your extensive chemical plant experience, you will provide overall management and leadership of the Bad Actor program for the site to ensure efficient equipment strategies are in place and utilize RCFAs and other tools to identify and eliminate weaknesses that impact reliability for the site's Bad Actors.
Applying your ability to influence others in a matrix organization and to work at all levels of the organization, you will offer overall leadership of key reliability programs including lubrication, vibration, mechanical seals, etc., as well as coach and influence stakeholders in value chain on proper techniques for maintenance and asset care.
This is a great opportunity to demonstrate your Operations/Production Engineering experience and Asset Management or Maintenance/Reliability Engineering for new equipment (i.e., capital projects) and development of Equipment Maintenance Strategies (EMS), including PM/PdM Plans (e.g., lubrication, vibration), Spare Parts, Operator Care. You will also create SAP data associated with new or modified Functional Locations.
Your and strategic mind will enable you to develop long range plans from OAE data for site reliability spending and capital to support business plans. You will apply appropriate reliability tools to drive improvements, optimize costs and improve asset effectiveness. Tools may include (but are not limited to) FMEA, RBI, RBM, RCM, Reliability Roadmap, etc.
Your Root Cause Failure Analysis skills will be an asset in leading and participating in Root Cause Failure Analysis and execute assigned corrective actions for complex and/or repetitive problems.
