Where the Chemistry Happens
We are seeking an Information Services Specialist to function out of our McIntosh, AL location.
Formula for Success
Participate on the NA 4.0 Smart Manufacturing team in collaboration with business unit/site representatives by providing engineering and maintenance support to further progress the BASF 4.0 roadmap for EV regionally. Lead BASF 4.0 initiatives at McIntosh and share best practices at other EV sites.
Lead development and implementation of possible new BASF 4.0 solutions within the manufacturing community such as digital solutions for regulatory compliance and recordkeeping.
Develop understanding of site operations needs and opportunities with respect to mobile apps and implement solutions globally aligned with BASF 4.0 framework. Champion an entrepreneurial mindset.
Train, coach, and mentor employees in the use of new technologies; coordinate and track the roll-out process and determine site acceptance.
Meet frequently with BASF 4.0 leadership and site IT resources to consult on issues.
Leverage automation technology including DCS migration projects for BASF 4.0 continuous improvement.
Interface with DCS teams to evaluate and recommend tools to ensure cyber integrity.
Plan and consult on IT projects onsite as needed.
Stay informed on IT and technical problems and relay information to the site as warranted.
Stay abreast of current automation technology in the plant.
Provide support for the site’s data collection system.
