We as Global Digital Services enable BASF’s digitalization and adoption of artificial intelligence. In agile teams, we develop innovative solutions for BASF and its customers, create new exciting customer experiences and business growth, and drive efficiencies in processes. We provide IT that works and offer knowhow and access to latest technologies.
We are seeking an experienced AI/ML engineer like you to join our team of AI enthusiasts. In this role, you will leverage cutting-edge and proven technologies to reshape the way we execute business processes and innovation. If you are passionate to maximize value generation from latest developments in AI and have a strong background in ML engineering, and practical experience in realizing solutions, don’t hesitate to contact us!
Formula for Success: You Will…
Design, develop, and deploy AI-based solutions including Generative AI and large language models to address challenging use cases in different domains, from automating tasks and business processes to mastering complexity, and driving innovation.
Validate the feasibility of new technological developments and methods to maximize value contribution and ensure efficient and safe operation.
Work together with platform and product teams, integrating your AI developments in existing workflows and solutions.
Continuously improve and optimize AI models to enhance their accuracy, scalability, optimize computational and cost efficiency, and compliance with rules and standards.
Stay up to date with knowledge and expertise and share it with colleagues to promote a learning culture of AI-driven innovation across BASF.
Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
Degree (M.Sc./PhD) in computer science, mathematics, related engineering.
Extensive experience in applying deep learning and machine learning architectures, including transformers, large and small dedicated language models to solve business problems and speed up innovation in industry.
Excellent software development skills with deep experience in Python working with ML frameworks and tools in cloud environment.
Problem-solving attitude, excellent analytical thinking, and strong communication skills.
Proven experience in advanced prompt engineering, fine-tuning, orchestration preferably in combination with graph technologies for mastering complexity in industrial applications is a plus.
